Simplified equations for the synthesis of four-bar path generator with specified tangents at two cusps

摘要

This paper presents an analytical method for the synthesis of planar four-bar path generator with specified inclinations of path tangents at two cusps. Based on the concept of kinematic inversion and cross-ratio, simplified equations are derived for the design problem. The desired four-bar linkage can be synthesized directly by using these analytical equations.
