摘要
This paper studies the stability of a synchronous generator (SG) connected to a power grid through a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) link based on a modular multilevel converter (MMC). The HVDC link consists of different control strategies for the SG-side MMC (SS-MMC) and the grid-side MMC (GS-MMC). Both MMCs operate with different current directions and working modes. Small-signal stability analysis of the studied system using calculated eigenvalues is performed. Dynamic responses of the studied system under disturbance conditions are also carried out to validate the proposed models of the MMC-HVDC.
