N2 - Methoxyl-terminated monodisperse poly(oxyethylene) alkylamines (III) were synthesized and the surface properties and salt effects were investigated and compared with those of the parent monodisperse poly(oxyethylene) alkylamines (II) and N-alkyl monoaza crown ethers (I). The hydrophilicity of III except for the secondary amine, was close to those of I, and no apparent difference in cloud points was observed within the isomers, different from II. The adsorption area at air-water interface and critical micelle concentration (c. m. c. ) of III were almost the same with those of the corresponding.
