摘要
Recent theoretical advances in the understanding and prediction of wind-induced waves and associated coastal processes are reviewed. The principal topics discussed are diffraction and refraction over a large region, infragravity waves induced by short waves, wave interaction with longshore bars, and oscillatory flows and bed ripples. Much recent research has been motivated by desires to preserve the coastal environment. (D.W.Taylor)
