In this paper, we study an approach of tracking a moving target in fading channel. The constraints are that only one sensor can be used at each time step, and the base station (BS) should select the most efficient movement in order to minimize the predicted mean square error (MSE) in the target state estimation, and energy consumption for sensors as well. This simulation is performed in a fading noise propagation environment which is modelled as m-Nakagami distribution. The Kalman Filter (KF) technique is applied to estimate that MSE value. Simulation results show that the considered scenario are practical implement and obtain a well tracking performance.
