To investigate the occurrence of superconductivity in the geometrically frustrated system, the V and Mn doping effects on the structure, electrical resistivity and superconducting transition temperature Tc of LiTi2O4 are studied, where LiTi2O4 is the only Spinel oxide superconductor and its isostructural compounds LiV2O4 and LiMn2O4 are claimed to be a 3d heavy fermion and a high-voltage electrolyte, respectively. The rapid increase of resistivity is observed in the Mn-doping samples, but the Tc is not correspondingly suppressed from magnetization measurement. However, it shows different behavior in the V-doping samples. The significance of V and Mn doping effects on LiTi2O4 and the electronic role of 3d transition metals in Spinel oxides are discussed.
