Thermal buckling behavior of thick composite laminated plates under nonuniform temperature distribution

摘要

The thermal buckling behavior of composite laminated plates subjected to uniform or nonuniform temperature fields is analyzed with the aid of the finite element method. To account for transverse shear deformation and rotatory inertia, the thermal-elastic Mindlin plate theory is used. It is found that the effects of lamination angle, modulus ratio, plate aspect ratio, and boundary constraints upon the critical buckling temperature are significant.
