摘要
The effect of variation in the cavity length-to-depth ratio (L/D) and length-to-width (L/W) (3-D effect) on the characteristics of rectangular cavity flows was studied. The three-dimensional effect was found to be significant on the trailing edge vortex. It affected the peak pressure ahead of the rear face, levels of pressure fluctuation and pressure gradient near the trailing edge for closed and transitional cavity flows. Mach number and L/W were found to be important for the definition of critical L/D for the cavity flowfield models.
