Ultrasonic wave detection using a simple design of optical fibre interferometer

摘要

A simple, effective design of optical fibre interferometer (OFI) is presented. Novel results demonstrate its capability as a non-contacting sensor for accurate measurement of elastic ultrasonic waves on solid samples, and hence important material properties.
