摘要
This paper presents a new band selection approach, called uniform band interval divided band selection (UBIDBS) which uniformly divides a band range into a finite number of band intervals from which a band can be selected from each band interval according to a custom designed band prioritization (BP) criterion. Two BP criteria are introduced. One is derived from orthogonal subspace projection (OSP). The other is based on correlation matrix R originated from constrained energy minimization (CEM). These two criteria allow users to identify a most significant band to be selected in each of band intervals. As a result, it avoids band decorrelation required by BP to remove adjacent highcorrelated bands.
