Variable structure control with grey prediction of PWM inverters

摘要

This paper presents a variable structure control (VSC) with the grey theory for predicting the system uncertainties. VSC offers insensitive to parameter variations and external load disturbances. However, VSC exponential stability is guaranteed when the upper bound of the system uncertainties is known. Therefore, the chattering may produce. In order to overcome the chattering, the grey prediction compensation is used for pulse-width modulation (PWM) inverters and afterwards the low total harmonic distortion (THD) sinusoidal voltage in the inverter output can be obtained. The results verify that VSC with grey prediction significantly eliminates the chattering and its performance is compared with the classic VSC.
