In this study, we present an analytic method to study the vibration of multispan frames due to moving loads. The axially inertia effect of each branch of frames is included. The orthogonality of any two distinct sets of mode shape functions is shown. Results show that the shorter the columns are, the higher the first modal frequency and critical velocity of the frame are. Furthermore, the higher the span number is, the higher the absolute maximum deflection and critical velocity are.
