The reciprocal theorem in elasticity is used to solve the thermoelastic problems of plate. First, the thermoelastic form of the reciprocal theorem is found to be applied to thick plate problems. Second, the loading displacement relation is obtained for rectangular plate with all edges simply supported from the isothermal Mindlin plate governing equations. This relation is then substituted into the formula of the reciprocal theorem in the thermoelastic form. The solutions of a simply supported rectangular thick plate subjected to thermal loading are obtained. The problems of thermally induced vibration are considered. The effects of various parameters on the problems of vibration are investigated.
