N2 - Purification of virus from blood is challenging because of interference of numerous impurity. Ultracentrifugation is a conventional practice, but time consumption and required large sample volume. Depends on the antibody specificity and manipulation techniques advance, the three steps process was proposed to purify the virus. Using bead-based immunoreaction to capture the virus, and sorting particles by rapid electrokinetic patterning (REP), then separating the droplet into two individual ones. The concept of bead-based immunoreaction was verified by gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and Enterovirus 71 (EV71). In the future, the droplet separation will be accomplished by changing the surface property of the chips.
