Volatile organic compounds characteristics during the ZnCl2 additives biosolid pyrolysis

摘要

This study selected the biosolid of wastewater treatment plant of petrochemical industry as the raw material. The biosolid immersed with 0.5 to 5 M of ZnCl2 solution and pyrolyzed at different temperatures. This research investigated the compositions of volatile organic compounds during the pyrolytic process. Results indicated the benzene-ringed VOCs had the highest concentration in the vicinity of 10 min for 3 M ZnCl2-immersed biosolid pyrolyzed at 600 °C. Dichloromethane was the major component of chlorinated volatile organic compounds. Dimethylsulfide was the major compounds of sulfur organic compounds in the pyrolytic exhaust gas.
