Fire is always a terrible disaster and the behavior of the structure after the fire is very worthy of study In recent years the impact of fire on structures is more and more emphasized but this type of studies is rare in the literature Thus a full scale fire experiment was performed by a research group in the Department of Civil Engineering National Cheng Kung University on November 29 2016 We use the full scale steel building to perform an actual experiment There are two parts of the fire experiment the first part is static loading experiment and the second part is dynamic experiment In the static loading experiment there are two parts of this experiment the first part is before the fire and the second part is after the fire both measure the strain and the displacement of the beam column and plate so as to analyze the impact of fire on the structure In the dynamic experiment use the MK-155U Eccentric mass Vibrator System to shake the structure Measure the acceleration and velocity to analyze the dynamic behavior of the structure Find out the natural frequency to compare with the FEA result In addition there are tremendous amount of works in the experiment so three student complete this experiment together This study describes the data obtained by the experiment in detail and use the finite element analysis software to simulate the theoretical value Compare the theoretical value with the experimental value to explore the behavior of the full scale steel building
